Week of Pretty Skies

August 30th, 2026 at 06:46 pm

Usually winter is sunset season, but we've been blessed with a week of dramatic skies.  On Friday we saw a spectacular sunset, a full rainbow across the sky, and a lunar eclipse.  This was Thursday's sunset.

It looks like TM(21) will get a promotion at work.  August has been a good month on the employment front.

Not much else to report.  Which is a very good thing!  Appreciating some peace, however long it lasts.

Today I will get an idea how August shook out.  With the one-income month I don't expect to be too much in the black.  But I think it's feasible we had more income than expenses.  Hesitate to even say it, we have 2 more days left this month.

I am excited to see Tori Amos in our city, on Monday!  I think she's the best live performer I have ever seen.  It's rare she comes to our city though.  We traveled to the Bay Area a couple of years ago to catch her concert.  I remember seeing her perform in our city when I was very pregnant with MM(23).  Those are probably the last two times.  I look forward to the concert 5 minutes from my house.
