Maybe I have the touch...

$650 RT to Tokyo - United.

Non-stop.

O.M.G.

Of course the catch is the fees/taxes are like $250.

I almost fell over when I saw the $650.

Sale ends today.

I mean it's not my money but the fees and taxes seem worthy of a big airline and a non-stop flight.

We'll see...

Maybe able to do better, but the way I usually get discounts is buy WAY in advance so nice to see some decent prices so close to the date...

....incredibly enough, that's about what it costs to get from ES to Los Angeles....if you're lucky!...it's usually more like $800 + fees and taxes!...so US to Tokyo doesn't seem THAT steep from my perspective!

The price sounds right. I paid about $900 (including tax & fuel charge) for my trip, too.

I suppose non-stop from SF to Narita (Tokyo) since you're in Nor Cal.

I flew from Sac to Tokyo via LAX this time because I didn't want to drive to SFO. I could book a flight via SF, but those small hoppers between Sac and SFO sell out quickly and didn't give me a good schedule.

You can also check JTBUSA.com (Japan Travel Bureau) website and see what they offer to compare prices.

We didn't jump on it but after fees and taxes, NW is about the same anyway. United is a nice airline though. We have to work out too many details though. Like since my sister is visiting they want to fly Sunday and Friday (leaving only 4 days????). I am fighting for at least 5 full days in Japan. We'll see. I guess beggars can't be choosers. LOL. We'll have to work it out soon though.

Yeah flying from SFO but no biggie since my dad lives in the Bay - though it makes it nice when we travel domestically because most of the time Sac departures have the cheapest rates. But I figured SFO for int'l. My mom will be able to drop us off at the airport. Big Grin
